Methodology

How Tensorhaus programmes are built.

Each programme runs on the same structural pattern. Recorded video lessons cover the theory and walk through examples. A paired Jupyter notebook lets you run, modify, and extend those examples on your own machine. Exercises within the notebook build toward a take-home practice set, which you submit for written feedback.

The aim of this structure is to create a loop between instruction and work. You do not only watch someone else write code; you write it, make decisions, observe what happens, and then receive a response from someone who can explain why a choice worked or did not. Over time, this builds the judgement that lets you handle situations the lessons did not specifically cover.

Data Foundations Course
Programme 1

Data Foundations Course

A six-week online course for learners new to working with data in Python. The course covers tabular data handling, descriptive statistics, simple plotting, and small exploratory data analysis projects. Each week includes recorded lessons, short notebook exercises, and a take-home practice set. Students receive written feedback on two submitted notebooks during the course.

Applied Machine Learning Pathway

A fourteen-week pathway in applied machine learning, intended for students who already have a Python foundation and basic data handling skills. The pathway covers supervised learning algorithms, model evaluation, feature engineering, lightweight neural network basics, and the production of three small portfolio projects. Weekly recorded lessons are paired with practical notebooks and mentor-led office hours over video.

Applied Deep Learning Capstone

An eighteen-week intensive capstone focused on building one substantial deep learning project from start to finish: data collection, modeling, training, evaluation, and small-scale deployment. The programme is built around individual mentor reviews of student code at three checkpoints, recorded lessons covering both fundamentals and project-specific topics, and a final presentation of the capstone to a panel of three educators.
